The Municipality of West Perth 

Digital Sign Advertising and Usage Agreement (Non-Profit/Charity) 

The West Perth Digital Sign was installed in Mitchell to promote the municipality's commitment to increasing communication to our community. The following is an agreement between the Advertiser and the Municipality of West Perth. 

Policy: Advertisements with the intent to promote events and functions that have a clear benefit to members of the community and public at large will be permitted subject to the following: 

1. Advertisements that promote not-for profits events outside of Perth County will not be accepted for display. 

2. Advertisements will be displayed for one week at at a time. 

3. Organizations who submit not-for-profit/charity advertisements will receive four weeks free of charge each calendar year. 

4. After an organization has used its four free weeks of advertisements, advertising space will be available for the following price: 

Non-profit Advertisement: $35 per week plus HST 

Please ensure your media-ready advertisment is submitted at least 5 business days prior to the advertisement release date. You are entitled to one media change per month. 

• The sign accommodates .jpeg files in RBG format (simple colours).

• .jpeg files should be 2240 x 1120 pixels.

• Full motion videos can be played; .avi or .mpeg files are compatible that fit the ratio of 2:1 (or 16:9). Videos must be no longer than 10 seconds.

• We recommend minimal text, only including vital information such as dates, times, location, website, etc.

• White backgrounds are not recommended; Dark backgrounds or bright colours are more effective.

• The most effective digital signs are those with a strong, short visual message that can be read quickly and clearly, with fast viewing times.

This agreement shall be in full force for the duration as indicated above, and begins on the first day the advertisement is displayed on the Digital Sign. 

The Advertiser is to abide by the Municipality of West Perth's Digital Sign Communication, Usage and Advertising Policy.
